1. Tell us what prompted your concern

Call, text, or contact MOLD Rx with your property’s city and a short description of what you have noticed. Useful details include a recent or past leak, musty odor, visible staining, prior remediation, or an existing report. Photos and repair records can help explain the situation, but they do not replace an inspection.

2. Discuss the scope with the inspector

Talking with the inspector is the best way to determine the appropriate inspection scope and sample quantity. We will discuss the areas of concern, relevant property history, access, and the questions you need answered. Sampling recommendations depend on the situation; every property does not need the same package.

3. Review the estimate and arrange your visit

Your inspection agreement includes a written estimate. Review the proposed scope, sample quantity, and pricing, and ask about anything you would like clarified. We will discuss appointment availability and access arrangements with you.

Inspections start at $350. The cost varies with property size, inspection scope, and sampling needs. If you have a deadline, mention it when you contact us so we can discuss turnaround and rush options.

4. Prepare for the inspection

Have any relevant leak history, repair information, prior reports, and questions available. Arrange access to the areas included in the agreed scope. Ask the inspector whether your particular inspection requires any preparation before changing ventilation, cleaning, or moving materials.

If there is an active leak, arrange prompt attention to the water source. Do not postpone urgent mitigation while waiting for an inspection. See our guide to mold after a water leak.

5. Inspect the conditions and collect agreed samples

The inspection focuses on the agreed areas and questions. MOLD Rx evaluates visible conditions and moisture concerns, with air or surface sampling when appropriate. Samples are submitted for laboratory analysis when collected. Findings need to be understood in the context of the property and the inspection’s limitations.

6. Receive your findings and discuss next steps

Turnaround is 24–48 hours, with next-day rush available. Discuss your deadline and the expected delivery timing with the inspector when arranging service.

Your documented findings help explain the observed conditions and any laboratory results. Speak with the inspector about questions and appropriate next steps. MOLD Rx provides independent inspection and testing; we do not perform mold remediation or sell reconstruction.
